God has placed a call on all of us to disciple nations by using our gifts and talents. We in Trinidad feel that God has given us a special call to impact youth and also train those who work with youth. That’s is why we are building a whole youth campus to help us reach this generation. And because of this calling, we offer through YWAM University of the Nations – Principles of Children and Youth Ministries (PCYM).
The purpose of this six-month course is to equip those who work with children and youth, so they can effectively present Jesus and the values that He wants modeled to this emerging generation. The focus will be on non-traditional styles of teaching and learning, especially geared for those working in developing countries. The school is designed to help our students appreciate and draw out the unique God given gifts of the youth they work with. The end product is young people who know their giftings and make a difference not only in their nation but in other nations of the world.
We believe that our campus, which is being developed especially around this emerging generation, will be a unique place to put into practice the things that are taught. During the course of the school each student will have opportunity to work in our camp ministries. This will involve rope courses, climbing walls, basketball and volleyball courts and many other activities that we are currently in the process of building. Each student will also be involved in ministering in our local schools, youth group meetings and other outreaches. For the two month outreach we will be working with children and youth somewhere in the developing world most likely in India or Africa. Sound like you?
